Each 10ml contains
200 mg of burdock (standardized extract, equivalent to 1000 mg arctium lappa, dried roots)
75 mg of stinging nettle (ostandardized extract, equivalent to 600 mg urtica dioica, dried herb top)
300 mg of caraway (dried seed (fruit) powder, carum carvi)
75 mg of goldenseal (of standardized extract equivalent to 300 mg of hydrastis canadensis, dried roots and rhizome)
100 mg of alfalfa (standardized extract equivalent to 400 mg of medicago sativa, dried herb top)
Non-medicinal ingredients Purified water, vegetable glycerine, apple juice, natural fruit flavor, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sodium hydroxide, citrique acid.
Directions
Direction for adults Take 2 teaspoons (10 ml) 2 to 3 times per day.
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes, kidney disorder, blood pressure problems, are experiencing acute abdominal pain, if you are taking blood thinners, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or birth control medication or/if symptoms persist or worsen.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a history of systemic lupus erythematosus, or if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy or the Apiaceae/Carrot family. Consumption of Goldenseal with alcohol, medications and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use.
Natural Ingredient Properties
Burdock root is known for its ability to drain toxins from the body that contribute to the formation of pimples. The phenolic acids contained in Burdock extract help flush out the liver and promote the elimination of toxins from the kidneys.
Nettle is a perfect complement to the virtues of Burdock root. The synergistic association naturally promotes a clear complexion. Not only this, nettle also effectively slows down the secretion of sebum, which contributes to oily skin and hair, and promotes drainage to help reduce water retention and cellulite.
Caraway is an excellent natural ingredient to help promote a flat stomach. It helps your body fight against intestinal fatigue, reducing gas formation and bloating, leading to a flatter stomach. Caraway is also a very effective antiseptic agent. It has long been a favourite in the French pharmacopeia, where it is recommended for certain dermatological conditions such as itchiness and rash.
Goldenseal amplifies the effects of other plant extracts that it interacts with. Goldenseal itself exerts a healing action and fights infection thanks to its active ingredient berberine, an antimicrobial agent. It also has the benefit of acting as a light laxative without all the inconvenient effects of other commercial laxatives. Goldenseal has a powerful, bitter taste that stimulates liver function and digestion.
Alfalfa has multiple effects: antibiotic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-tumoral, tonic and cleansing for the blood. A natural diuretic, alfalfa helps relieve urinary and intestinal problems, and helps with water retention.
