Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, has been revered for its medicinal value for thousands of years. Ayurvedic texts describe Tulsi as a pillar of holistic herbal medicine and it is one of the most sacred herbs, recognized for its spiritually uplifting and healing properties.

Recommended Dosage
Take 1 tsp in hot water as a tea several times a day. A pinch of cardamom powder and honey could be added to enhance the flavour.

Natural Ingredient Properties

Holy Basil is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a rejuvenative tonic (Rasaysana) to promote emotional well-being. It’s also used in Ayurvedic medicine to reduce vitiations of vata and pitta, as well it relieves indigestion (agnimandya), skin disease (kustha), dysuria (krichra), blood disorders (asra), cough (kasa), asthma (svasa) and pain in the sides of the chest (parshvaruk). Scientific research has demonstrated hypoglycemic, immunomod-ulatory, antistress, analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antiulcerogenic, antihyper-tensive, CNS depressant, radioprotective, antitumor and antibacterial properties.

Used in Ayurveda for balancing Vata and Kapha. May aggravate vata and pitta if taken in access.
